Meet Our Staff

Jimmy Acree
Jimmy Acree (Pastor Jimmy) has served as pastor of the Bacon’s Castle family since September of 1987.   Fresh out of seminary, he returned to the area where God brought him and this church together.  There was actually only one week between the former pastor’s leaving and Jimmy beginning to preach.

Jimmy is a graduate of Ferrum College and Columbia International University.  He is presently working on his DMin from Liberty University.

Raised in Latin America, Jimmy is fluent in Spanish and loves to practice his Español!

He and his wife Anne have six children.  His oldest three, Caleb, Libby and Ethan are all attending Liberty University and the youngest, Katie, Shep and Joy are still at home where they are taught by their mom.

Josh Chatraw
Josh Chatraw (Pastor Josh) has served as a pastor at Bacon's Castle since June of 2009.  Since arriving, Josh has been working to help develop Christ-centered discipleship in both the church and the family.

Josh attended college at Georgia Southern University (BBA 2004) here he played soccer.  After college, he and his wife Tracy moved to Louisville, Kentucky where Josh attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDIV 2007). During their time in Louisville, Tracy served as a Registered Nurse and Josh worked coaching soccer. Josh  is presently working on his PHD from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in the area of Biblical Theology.

Josh and Tracy had their first child, Addison, in December 2008.

Beverly Mann
Beverly Mann has served as our church secretary for over seventeen years and from the very beginning we knew we had a keeper!  Beverly is known around here as a servant who is not afraid to do anything and everything.  She makes Pastor Jimmy look good!

Beverly is married to her husband of over forty years, Rick, and they have one daughter, Linda, one son-in-law, Joe, and one grandson, Alexander, who is the apple of their eye.

Todd Bolton
Todd Bolton (Pastor Todd) joined the staff at Bacon’s Castle on Aug. 1, 2009.  Todd’s primary focus at Bacon’s Castle is small group and discipleship ministries, which includes our Sunday School Department and AWANA children’s ministry.  He has a passion for people and a desire to see them grow in their personal relationships with Christ.  Prior to his arrival at Bacon’s Castle, Todd and his family lived and ministered to people in the Middle East.

Todd earned his BS in Ministry/Bible from Southern Christian University.  He also earned his MA in Religion at Liberty University.

Todd and his wife, Jennifer, have been married for nearly 17 years and they have two children.  Their daughter Kelsey loves to swim and their son Brandon loves to play tennis.  Both attend Smithfield public schools.
